Mentor/Mentee Mixer!

For those of you who have signed up for the 2008-2009 Mentorship Program, we will be having our first Mentor/Mentee Mixer this Wednesday, November 5 @ 7pm in the Charles Commons Kitchen. We will be making cupcakes at 6, so if you’re into baking, feel free to come earlier. If not, I hope to see you the rest of you there around 7pm!

This Wednesday, October 22 at 5:30-7:30 in Charles Commons Ballroom ABC, The Maryland Chapter of AIChE will be hosting a panel composed of speakers from several companies. This is a GREAT opportunity to network and try to find that job or internship after May. Hope to see you there!!

This Wednesday (Oct 1) AIChE/SBE will be hosting a grad school panel. A lot of ChemE students have played around with the idea of whether to go to grad school or jump right into the working world. Well now, you can hear all about the grad school option from our own Hopkins ChemE Grad Students!

- Network with current engineering graduate students!
- Learn how and when to apply to grad school
- Discuss grad school vs industry
- Have all your questions answered!

Lunch will be provided!!!

Ice Cream Social - This Friday!!

This FRIDAY, September 12th from 5-7pm, we are hosting our annual ice cream social and this year we are very happy to announce that in addition to our wonderful ice cream, COLDSTONE is also donating! So if its after dinner, (or better yet before!) come on out to Mattin 160 and enjoy a cold treat!

Officers will be there so feel free to mingle, grab a bowl, and hang out with us for a bit and learn more about AIChE/SBE!

First General Body Meeting!

This Monday, September 22, @ 6pm in MD110 is our FIRST GENERAL BODY MEETING!

Stop by to meet the board, sign up for our ChemE Car Team or Mentorship Program, hear about what we have to offer this semester, and more! Don’t forget your dues! $5 a semester, $10 for the year. If you cannot make this meeting for some reason but are still interested in participating and attending our events, you can give your dues to your class representative or an officer.

Food will be provided.
