Hello Everyone! I hope that your semesters are going well! (Have heart! We're almost to spring break!)

We will be having another Faculty Round Table event next week!

Roundtable Dinner with Professor Gray

Wednesday March 7th 5:45pm, Charles Commons MPR

Please join us on Wednesday, 3/7 at 5:45pm in Charles Commons MPR for a faculty roundtable event.  Professor Gray, the F. Stuart Hodgson Faculty Scholar, will be joining us for an informal dinner and Q&A session.  Professor Gray's research is focused on modeling protein conformations computationally and he will be sharing advice and his experiences with us at this event. Come with your questions on what it’s like to pursue a PhD and a career in academia with a smile, or just to enjoy the Korean food!

Congrats everyone on finishing up with classes this semester! Time to gear up for finals!

Our last event of the semester is the AIChE Cafe for Finals!

Monday, 12/5, 4:30-8pm, Charles Commons Kitchen and MPR

Do you get stressed trying to find a desk in the library during finals? Come to the AIChE Cafe for Finals event on Monday 12/5 at 4:30pm for a warm, windowed group study area that will be set up in the CC MPR.  Additionally, much needed study fuels including coffee, cocoa, and cookies will be served near-by in the CC Kitchen. Come by for a quick caffeine and sugar fix, a group study session, or just moral support.

Tuesday, September 27th: Catalent Recruitment Session, 5:30pm in the Sherwood Room of Levering.  Check out their website for more information: www.catalent.com

Thursday, September 29th: First General Body Meeting, 7:00pm in Maryland 110.  Pizza will be provide and we will be discussing our events for the semester.

Saturday, October 1st: 1st Mentorship Event - Brunch at the Farmer's Market, we will be meeting in front of Charles Market at 10:30am and then heading over to Waverly Farmer's Market to get brunch/fresh food.  Come to meet your fellow classmates and get the chance to ask upperclassmen any questions you have.  [Note: You do not need to have signed up for the Mentorship Program to attend this first event.]

Hey Everyone!  Please take note of the following Mentorship Program Events taking place this week:

1st Faculty Roundtable, Wednesday, October 19th: 6pm in Charles Commons MPR: Join us for our first Faculty Roundtable event of the year.  Professor Dahuron, also the director of Undergraduate Studies, will be joining us for an informal dinner and Q&A session.  Come with your questions on what it’s like to work in industry and academia, or just to enjoy the food! We'll be serving Italian pasta dishes from Ledo's.


Mentorship Trip to the Walters Art Museum, Saturday, October 22nd: the Mentorship program will be taking a trip to Mount Vernon and the Walters Art Museum.  We’ll be leaving at 11am and meeting at the Barnes & Noble JHMI stop (on St. Paul Street side). Take a study break and come for as long or as little as you’d like—the bus and museum admission are both free!
